Electric Slurry Pumps in Flotation Plant

Rubber slurry pumps are often used in mining, pulp and paper, and pollution cleanup, due to the fact that they are durable, versatile, able to withstand acids, lime, mud, gypsum, and mill effluent. Additionally, they are highly resistant to high temperatures and high pressures. Rubber is a very forgiving material, making it excellent for use in applications involving a great deal of wear and tear. This is widely known among manufacturers, and it is often used in reinforcing products as a result. For example, the electric slurry pump body used in mining and mineral processing is usually cast iron with a wear-resistant rubber bush inlay to prevent pump corrosion or wear, or a split rubber pump body, making maintenance and replacement easier. Unlined cast iron pumps have many disadvantages, including poor wear resistance, bulk, a short life, a need for frequent replacement, high cost, and low production efficiency. Adding wear-resistant rubber bushing inlays to the pump body, however, improves wear and corrosion resistance. Despite this added protection, this solid structure is complicated, bulky, troublesome to install, and difficult to maintain and replace. The split rubber slurry pumps body is divided into two symmetrical casings, which improve the corrosion and abrasion resistance, and prevents leaks. This version makes installation and maintenance much easier and is often the more desirable option.

One of the greatest benefits of a rubber slurry pump body includes a simple design. It is a one-time vulcanization molding with metal material as the “skeleton,” and a cord layer as a sandwich. The rubber pump ensures rigidity resistance to wear and a reduced risk of deformation to the body. The electric slurry pumps are generally less likely to leak, are easy and inexpensive to produce, and have a service five times that of general products. We proudly export many electric slurry pumps around the world to Indonesia and several countries in Africa, amongst others.
